O Lord Shiva, who wears the King of Serpents as a garland, who has three eyes, whose body is smeared with sacred ash, who is the great Lord, who is eternal, pure, and who wears the directions as His garment, I bow to You, who is represented by the syllable ‘Na’ in the Panchakshara mantra (Namaḥ Śivāya).

Explanation in English:

This hymn praises the glory of Lord Shiva. It describes how Shiva wears the King of Serpents as a garland, has three eyes, and is smeared with sacred ash.

He is the great Lord, eternal, pure, and who wears the directions (sky) as His garment. Through this study, the devotee worships Shiva and reveres the ‘Na’ syllable in the Panchakshara mantra ‘Namaḥ Śivāya.’
